High Commissioner of Pakistan, Major General (R) Dr. Nayyar Naseer HI(M), called on Hon. Bimal Rathnayake, Minister of Transport, Highways and Urban Development. During the cordial meeting, both sides discussed avenues for enhancing Parliamentary cooperation with shared democratic values that bind the two nations and strengthening bilateral ties and enhance regional cooperation. Discussions also focused on importance of technical exchange and investment in the transport sector to boost regional connectivity. The High Commissioner reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting Sri Lanka’s development. Hon Minister also appreciated Pakistan’s constructive efforts as a mediator in the ongoing peace talks.
