High Commissioner meets Hon. Prime Minister of Sri Lanka

he High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka, Major General (R) Dr. Nayyar Naseer HI(M), paid a courtesy call on Hon. Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. During the warm and cordial meeting, both sides reaffirmed the enduring friendship and longstanding bonds of goodwill between Pakistan and Sri Lanka rooted in mutual respect, shared democratic values, and decades of close cooperation. Among others, the High Commissioner appreciated Hon. Prime Minister’s commitment and contributions in education domain in her capacity as Minister of Education. Both sides discussed avenues for further enhancing bilateral relations and strengthening collaboration in the fields of education, defence collaboration, tourism, culture, closer people-to-people contacts and regional cooperation. Hon. Prime Minister also appreciated Pakistan’s constructive efforts as a mediator in the ongoing peace talks.
