Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Major General (R) Dr Nayyar Naseer, HI(M), attended the event titled “An Urgent Appeal for the Cessation of War and the Restoration of Peace,” held on 26 April 2026 at Gangaramaya Temple, Colombo.
The gathering, organized by the Maha Sanghas of the three Buddhist Chapters of Sri Lanka, brought together members of the diplomatic corps to formally receive a collective appeal advocating peace and an end to conflict.
Pakistan reaffirms its steadfast commitment to global peace, dialogue, and mutual understanding, and values such meaningful initiatives that promote harmony among nations.
