Gen. (R) Dr. Shahid Ahmad Hashmat handed over\nthe computers and printers to the Sri Lankan Army Commander Lt. Gen. Mahesh\nSenanayake at a ceremony held at Army Headquarters on April 05, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On\nthe occasion, the High Commissioner of Pakistan appreciated the role of Sri Lankan\narmed forces in the UN Peace Keeping operations. He elaborated that relations\nbetween Pakistan and Sri Lanka are time-tested and based on mutual trust. He hoped\nthat both countries will continue to make efforts for nurturing new vistas of\ncooperation in the years ahead. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He\nunderscored that Pakistan has been the most significant and consistent\ncontributor to the UN Peacekeeping around the world with the participation of\nover 150,000 troops since 1960. Pakistani peacekeepers have left no stone\nunturned in the noble cause of helping humanity, building peace and bringing\nstability across the regions, under the banner of United Nations, he added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sri\nLankan Army Commander, Lt. Gen.
