Seven\ndecades have passed and the dispute of Jammu and Kashmir remains unresolved.\nRuthless killings, pellet injuries to children and infants, rapes and torture;\nIndian atrocities in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir continue unabated and so\ndoes the spirit and courage of Kashmiris in their fight to achieve the legitimate\nright to self-determination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kashmiris\nhave been fervently demanding an end to India\u2019s illegitimate rule, spanning\nmore than 70 long and bloody years. Since 1947, the number of tortures, rapes\nand killings perpetrated by the Indian occupation forces against innocent\nKashmiris has become a case study in unprecedented violence. Thousands of\ninnocent Kashmiris have been brutally tortured and extra-judiciously killed\nduring forced disappearances or illegal custody by the Indian occupation\nforces, which enjoy full immunity under draconian laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nReport of the Office of the High Commission for Human Rights (OHCHR) on Jammu\nand Kashmir echoes Pakistan\u2019s repeated calls to the international community to\ntake stock of India\u2019s brutal use of pellet guns, indiscriminate firing, use of\nhuman shields and promulgation of the draconian Armed Force Special Powers Act\n(AFSPA) and Public Safety Act (PSA) that are making lives of the people in\nIndian occupied Jammu and Kashmir a living hell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
