<\/a><\/p>\nThe High Commissioner of Pakistan in Sri Lanka, Major Gen(R) Syed Shakeel Hussain said that Pakistan and Sri Lanka continue to enjoy excellent relations as there is a strong will on both sides to further develop and promote these relations.<\/p>\n
Pakistani envoy said this while briefing a delegation\u00a0of International Relations Department of Preston University, Islamabad Campus, which visited Pakistan High Commission in Sri Lanka on 1st\u00a0February 2016, for an interactive session with the High Commissioner and Officers of the High Commission.<\/p>\n
The 8 – Member\u00a0delegation\u00a0led by. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Qureshi\u00a0comprises of two Professors and Ph. D Scholars\u00a0is currently visiting Sri Lanka\u00a0on a Study Tour.<\/p>\n
HE Shakeel Hussain\u00a0emphasized\u00a0that such visits and people to people contacts are an\u00a0excellent way to promote understanding and friendship between the two nations. He expressed the hope that the visit would add value to the already strengthened bonds of friendship between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n
He added that more frequent people-to-people contacts through enhanced student and faculty exchanges between learning institutions of the two countries would further promote this relationship. He assured that the High Commission would continue to patronize and support such initiatives.<\/p>\n
