Pakistan\u2019s Federal Minister for Commerce, Engr. Khurram Dastgir Khan arrived in Sri Lanka today on a two days visit along with senior officials.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Engr. Khurram Dastgir Khan will be formally inaugurating Pakistan Single Country Exhibition 2016 in Colombo\u2019s\u00a0Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall\u00a0(BMICH) on 15th<\/sup>\u00a0January 2016 along with Senior Ministers of the Sri Lankan Government. The exhibition will open from January 15th<\/sup>\u00a0to 17th<\/sup>, 2016 with Free Entrance for public.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan is organizing the Exhibition in collaboration with the High Commission of Pakistan in Sri Lanka.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier this month during his visit to Sri Lanka the Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif along with Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe launched the Pakistan Single Country Exhibition 2016 in an impressive ceremony held at Temple Trees on 05th<\/sup>\u00a0January 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pakistan Single Country Exhibition 2016\u2019 is a High-level expo featuring leading Pakistani organizations\u00a0and manufacturers of Engineering Products, Auto Parts, Agro Products, Textile & Clothing, Designer Wear, Handicraft & Traditional Textiles, Cosmetics and Herbal Products, Pharmaceuticals, Cutlery, Gems & Jewellery, Furniture, Carpets, Marble and Services.<\/span><\/p>\n

The objective of holding the exhibition is to boost the long-standing commercial ties between Pakistan and Sri Lanka and inviting businesses from the two friendly countries to tap into the growth potential of each other\u2019s economies and leading economies to which they enjoy preferential trade access.<\/span><\/p>\n

To coincide with the Pakistani Single Country Exhibition, a Pakistan Food Festival is also being organized to present the best of Pakistan\u2019s rich cuisine in Sri Lanka.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pakistan Food Festival was formally inaugurated last evening by the High Commissioner of Pakistan in Sri Lanka Maj Gen \u00ae Syed Shakeel Hussain and Sri Lanka\u2019s Minister of Internal Affairs, Wayamba Development and Cultural Affais Hon.\u00a0S.B. Navinna.\u00a0Pakistan Food Festival will continue from 13 to 17 January at the Galadari Hotel\u2019s Coffee Shop restaurant from\u00a07 p.m. to 11 p.m.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pakistan\u2019s celebrity chef Mehboob Khan will be taking center stage during this spectacular food festivity. Known for his tasty cuisines, Chef Mehboob is a television personality and a cooking expert. He is famously known for his cooking shows \u2018Zauq Zindagi\u2019 and \u2018Good Healthy Life\u2019. He is also the author of the cookbook \u2018Food for Life\u2019 which garnered him great attention as a health-food expert. Currently he is also serving as a Judge in the world-renowned cooking competition Master Chef Pakistan.<\/span><\/p>\n
