Caretaker Prime Minister Justice \u00ae Mir Hazar Khan Khoso took oath as sixth caretaker Prime Minister of the country here on Monday.\u00a0President Asif Ali Zardari administered the oath to Mir Hazar Khan Khoso at a special ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr.\u00a0The event was attended by leaders of different political parties, Senators, Speaker National Assembly, former parliamentarians, ministers and diplomats.\u00a0 Former Prime Ministers Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervez Ashraf and Services Chiefs also attended the ceremony. After the ceremony the guests greeted the new prime minister. Justice\u00a0\u00ae Mir Hazar Khan Khoso is the sixth caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan who\u00a0will lead the country till the next general elections scheduled to be held on May\u00a011.<\/p>\n

Profile of Justice (Rtd) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Mir Hazar Khan Khoso, the third among eleven siblings, of Mir. Azam Khan Khoso, a prominent landlord\/agriculturist of Goth Azam Khan Khosa, Jafferabad, was born on\u00a0September 30, 1929.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mir Hazar Khan Khoso got his early education from Jacobabad and Shikarpur. He graduated from the\u00a0University\u00a0of\u00a0Sindh\u00a0in 1954 and earned his LLB degree from\u00a0Karachi\u00a0University\u00a0in the year 1956.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Justice (R) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso was enrolled as Advocate of High Court of West Pakistan (Karachi Bench) in 1959. He remained Public Prosecutor for eleven years from 1966 to 1977 and was appointed as Additional Judge of Balochistan High Court on\u00a020th<\/sup>\u00a0June 1977. He was elevated to the position of Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court on 13th<\/sup>\u00a0December 1989, the position he held till 29th<\/sup>September 1991. He also served as member of the Election Commission of Pakistan in 1985.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Justice Khoso was appointed as the judge of the\u00a0Federal Shariat Court\u00a0in 1991 and was elevated to the position of Chief Justice of the\u00a0Federal Shariat Court\u00a0on\u00a017th<\/sup>\u00a0November 1994. He held this office until\u00a018th<\/sup>\u00a0July 1994. He was subsequently appointed a Judge of the Supreme Court from where he retired in 1996.<\/span><\/p>\n

Justice (Rtd) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso was nominated as caretaker Prime Minister on\u00a0March 24th<\/sup>, 2013\u00a0and was sworn in on 25th<\/sup>\u00a0of March 2013<\/span><\/p>\n

Before assuming the office of Prime Minister of Pakistan, he served as Chairman Zakat Council Balochistan since 2008<\/span><\/p>\n

Justice (Rtd) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso had an illustrious career spanning over five decades. He has a vast experience in administrative and judicial matters and enjoys an impeccable reputation among his peers. During his career he attended numerous international seminars and conferences. He is well versed in English, Urdu, Seraiki, Sindhi and Balochi languages. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The wife of Justice (Rtd) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso passed away in 2012. He has three sons and two daughters who are happily married<\/span><\/p>\n
