A joint statement to this effect was issued by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton\u201a Afghanistan Foreign Minister Zalmai Rassoul and Pakistan&#8217;s Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They said that the three countries are committed to break ties with international terrorism\u201a renounce violence and abide by Afghanistan&#8217;s constitution.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They reaffirmed that the purpose of the Core Group is to enhance cooperation between Afghanistan\u201a Pakistan and the United States to support an Afghan peace and reconciliation process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0They further affirmed that Afghanistan should be a peaceful\u201a secure\u201a stable and prosperous nation living in a peaceful\u201a secure\u201a stable and prosperous region supported by enduring partnerships with the international community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They reiterate their call for the armed opposition to abandon violence and enter a dialogue with the Afghan government.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Foreign Minister Rassoul welcomed Pakistan&#8217;s and the United States&#8217; support for Afghan peace efforts calling on the Afghan Taliban and related groups to participate in an intra-Afghan process for reconciliation and peace.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pakistan\u201a Afghanistan and United States have vowed to work together to promote regional peace Pakistan\u201a Afghanistan and United States have vowed to work together to promote regional peace.
