The inaugural ceremony of the festival was held on 3 October 2024. The event was attended by a large number of people including diplomats, government officials, businessmen and media representatives. High Commissioner of Pakistan was Chief Guest of the event.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">In his remarks, the High Commissioner of Pakistan Maj. Gen (R) Faheem Ul Aziz stated that the food festival is a testament to the strong and enduring ties between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The two nations share a bond rooted in history, mutual respect, and close collaboration across a wide spectrum of areas\u2014be it trade, education, culture, or diplomacy. The High Commissioner added that the Pakistan food festival is a unique opportunity to experience the essence of Pakistan through one of its most cherished expressions\u2014food.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The audience enjoyed the food as well as the live music performance by a Pakistani troupe.
