Pakistan High Commission, Colombo held an event to observe solidarity with the brothers and sisters of T\u00fcrkiye in wake of the recent devastating earthquakes which jolted southren part of our friendly country.<\/p>\n
The event was mainly held to sensitize local community regarding horrific destructions caused in T\u00fcrkiye due to the earthquake resulting in colossal loss of life and property. Photographs, some actual video shots and latest facts and figures of the aftermath of the earthquakes were shared with the audience depicting the fallout of the disaster.<\/p>\n
Her Excellency the Ambassador of T\u00fcrkiye in Colombo Ms. Rakibe Demet Sekercioglu thanked the High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka Maj Gen (R) Umar Farooq Burki HI (M) for holding such a heartfelt event for condolences and comfort for the people of T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n
The event was well attended and the people showed solidarity with people of T\u00fcrkiye by observing one minute silence for the loss of precious lives and properties due to the earthquakes. Some of the participants also donated money for the brothers and sisters in T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n
